Design proposal history
An initial stage of public consultation began in August 2021, which fed into and informed our design development for Bristol Zoo Gardens. Since then, our award-winning team of architects, designers, engineers and environmental experts have worked to develop a robust masterplan for the site, which formed the basis for our second stage of consultation held in November 2021.
In March 2022 a further public event was scheduled to showcase a refined version of the Society’s vision for the site. The event also marked the culmination of the Society’s pre-application consultation.
Bristol Zoological Society intends to submit a planning application later in 2022, at which time a more formal public consultation will be facilitated by Bristol City Council.
