Our brand new play area is now open!
Join us at Bristol Zoo Project this summer and experience our new multi-level adventure play for all ages, needs, and abilities.
Explorers Basecamp is a three-storey play tower with slides, rope jungles, climbing walls, and so much more. Let the kids discover and play all day. No time limits!
Based on a field station, which you’d find at one of our conservation project sites, the new adventure play offers kids the chance to learn about protecting species and habitats, through play.
Fully immersed in the zoo, this sustainable bespoke play space connects children of all ages to nature. Each level has its own conservation theme and purpose.
A companion slide, floor trampolines, family swing, racing zip line, and animal footprint climbing wall are just some of the fantastic interactive features. We can’t wait to see what future conservationists get up to!
Dive in to feel-good family fun discovering amazing animals from around the world. Get face to face with giraffes on the raised walkway, watch cheetahs prowl and meet lemurs in the walkthrough, with no barriers between you and the animals!
Our zoo is designed with nature and our animals’ welfare in mind. Discover large, enriching habitats for our animals and explore woodland paths teeming with native British wildlife.
Enjoy delicious festive treats or tuck into a freshly-baked pizza at Base Camp Pizzeria. Our Courtyard Cafe also offers a range of freshly made sandwiches, soup, pastries, cakes and snacks. Gluten-free and vegan options are available.
Find us just off Junction 17 of the M5, five minutes from Cribbs Causeway. Under 2s and carers go free!
